Hands On Code

Code describing how to get started understanding modern topics in data is hosted on GitHub. Here we share work, discuss changes, and get feedback in one place to expand our knowledge and experience.

Experiment with new ideas

The society represents a cross-section of data science professionals from all corners of accademia and industry and is a breeding ground for exciting new perspectives on your data.

Face to face: A local community.

Our community is built around face to face meet-ups. Shake hands, share code, and build a network you can rely on. Two events a month allow us to present our endeavours, explain complex concepts and share in the learning experience of more than 300 other data enthusiasts.

Expand our Editions

The SGD editions are a collection of topics in modern data analysis, engineering, or AI. We introduce each topic in an understandable and coherant manner and invite you, as a community, to contribute new datasets and exercises, to help broaden our common knowledge base with study groups, and foster innovation with competitons and partnerships towards common goals.

Contribute to an Edition

The SGD editions are collections of projects, practice exercises and study materials all centered around a common theme. Some editions may offer support from industry partners for solutions to particlar problems or a community sourced textbook chapter on how to best understand the nature of the problem
